How we do IPL process


IPL process can be done by Mainframe admin people.
IPL  process can be done when any of the changes are needed.
  -To Upgrade The System
  -Remove The Buffer
  -Add or Remove Physical component or External peripheral
  -Giving Access to Particular Sub System
  -Add or Remove The Tools.

In this process all people can log on to bridge call.
Here we need down the Ca7 Database. Before doing the message will sent to all people
By using command  SE" Message " 

here to down the Ca7 Database we can stop All the Queues by Using command
/ stop, Q= all

And Hold the All The Jobs which are in all the queues by using command
/ hold, Q= all

By using above command we can hold the jobs in request queue. But to
Hold the jobs in Ready queue we have Drain the initiators by using command
  $PI---in console
  / PI---in Tso

After complete the IPL process we have to release all queues this can done by using command
/Release, Q=all 


And To Active the intiators by using command
  $AI---in spool
  /AI---in Tso
